René van Bavel is a senior researcher at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC). Over the past 20 years, he has contributed to producing evidence for EU policy-making in the fields of behavioural science, consumer protection, public health, digital transformation, and research & innovation. He has an undergraduate degree in economics and a master’s and PhD in social psychology.
