ECAT is looking for an experienced IT Security Officer to join an interdisciplinary and multicultural team of researchers. The successful candidate will hold overall responsibility for the ICT security of ECAT's digital infrastructure, both in the cloud and on-premise. They will work in close collaboration with a wide range of partners, in particular legal and policy experts in DG Connect, external researchers and scientists, and other various stakeholders in EU Member States and civil society organisations.
We are looking for applicants with the following experience and skills (essential):
- University degree and 4 years relevant experience in computer engineering, computer science or related field.
- Solid knowledge and working experience in cybersecurity (including cryptography, security controls, incident response, security monitoring, forensics and preservation of evidence, cloud security, security auditing, risk management and data protection).
- Very good (C1 level) knowledge of English.
The jobholder will be be based in JRC's offices in either Ispra (Italy) or Seville (Spain), and the application deadline is 10 January, 2025.
