Dr. Josep Soler Garrido is an official at the European Commission, Joint Research Centre (JRC) since 2021. He currently leads the scientific team working on Digital Services Act enforcement at the European Centre for Algorithmic Transparency (ECAT). In addition, he represents the European Commission in technical standardisation activities in support of the Artificial Intelligence Act. During the 14 years prior to joining the European Commission, he held various technical and leadership R&D positions in the private sector, working on innovation projects in microelectronics, digital systems and artificial intelligence across multiple industries.
