Clara Julia Reich (PhD) is a senior researcher at Consumption Research Norway (SIFO) at Oslo Metropolitan University. Clara investigates young people’s digital everyday lives and consumers’ encounters with technologies and platforms and human encounters with generative AI using creative participatory methods. Her peer-reviewed work has been published in leading peer-reviewed journals such as Information, Communication and Society, and she actively disseminates her research widely beyond academia to broader public and policy audiences.
Her findings have informed several Norwegian policy works, including White Papers and strategies (e.g., Norwegian Digitalization strategy 2024-2026) as well as international initiatives like the European Fairness Fitness Act. Currently, she serves as a board member of the European Sociology of Consumption network and has previously held visiting fellowship positions at the Southern Centre for Digital Transformation in Naples and at the Digitalization Culture and Society network in Norway.
