Alice Barsanti

Alice Barsanti is a psychologist and a doctoral researcher at Fondazione Bruno Kessler (FBK) and the Department of Cognitive Science of the University of Trento, Italy.

Her research examines, from a psychological perspective, how people use and interact with artificial intelligence systems, with a particular focus on AI literacy and on the competencies that civil servants need in order to understand and assess these technologies. A central interest in her work is the interplay between the behaviour of AI systems and the judgment of their users: how conversational models shape what people believe and decide, and how users’ AI-related competencies influence their ability to recognise problematic model behaviours.
